Project: Reputation management and corporate communications during three year U.S. anti-trust trial

Role: Supported executive communications and leadership positioning for key initiatives in the software industry, while managing the company’s reputation issues during landmark anti-trust suit. Drove agency team supporting strategic communications, corporate brand stewardship, story development, media relations, issues management and crisis response for Microsoft Corporate PR efforts. Coached executives on message delivery, presentations and media interviews. Created “Human Face Campaign” to proactively shift media dialog from anti-trust issues to focus on the people behind the products. 

Outcome: Microsoft rebuilt Windows brand loyalty and maintained substantial market growth during anti-trust trial, during which the Gates Foundation was spawned.
